Susan Farris is VP of Sustainability & Corporate Communications at Shaw Industries, based in Dalton, Georgia.

Susan Farris has led internal and external communications, corporate marketing, media relations, crisis management, change management, community relations, and philanthropic giving for the enterprise since 2011. In 2018, she took on the leadership of Shaw’s sustainability strategy and team guided by a keen focus on market insights and stakeholder priorities. Susan has been instrumental in a number of change initiatives at Shaw. She played a leading role in founding the Shaw Women’s Innovation Network and continues to serve on its executive board. She also led the change management for a major organizational transformation that impacted the finance and sourcing areas of the Company. Farris joined Shaw in 1991 and prior to creating the corporate communication function, she held leadership roles in Commercial Marketing, Information Services, Retail Operations, and Distribution. Active in the Dalton community, where Shaw is headquartered, Farris serves on the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, The Conference Board Communications & Marketing Center Advisory Board and is a member of the United Way Women’s Leadership Council.
