- To mark World Water Day this week, PepsiCo and The Nature Conservancy today announced new projects to conserve and replenish water in the Southwestern United States, marking the next stage of their multi-year national collaboration.
PepsiCo works with The Nature Conservancy as part of the Salt Verde Alliance to help to protect communities and the environment in the Salt and Verde river valleys, Arizona. Together, they enable the implementation of local solutions to improve water efficiency and replenish local watersheds.

In its second year, PepsiCo Recycling’s Zero Impact Fund received more than 60 proposals and will award 19 colleges and universities up to $10,000 to accomplish their environmental goals.

The results are finally in and it’s official — the effort was a major win. Ninety-one percent of all trash generated on game day from 67,612 fans was responsibly recovered through composting, recycling and reuse. This marks the highest diversion rate achieved at U.S.

- The NFL has joined forces with PepsiCo, Aramark, U.S. Bank Stadium and the Minnesota Sports Facility Authority to make Super Bowl LII a zero-waste event. Together, the partners have launched Rush2Recycle, a game plan to recover more than 90 percent — over 40 tons — of stadium waste during Super Bowl LII on Sunday, February 4. This zero-waste effort aims to leave a positive legacy at U.S. Bank Stadium and create a playbook for other leagues, teams, sites operators and fans to curb waste in their own communities.

In its first year, the Zero Impact Fund received applications from more than 40 different campuses and awarded grants to eight schools.

- In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma and the earthquake in Mexico, the PepsiCo Foundation quickly mobilized to provide support to communities in need as they begin the long road to recovery. The PepsiCo Foundation has provided a $1 million grant to Feeding America for assistance in Florida and the Southeast U.S. The Foundation is giving the American Red Cross and its partner national societies a $250,000 grant to aid recovery in the Caribbean and a $250,000 donation for relief work in Mexico. The Foundation has also provided $250,000 to source, package and distribute meals in the Miami area through its long-established Food for Good program, a purpose-driven business initiative that uses PepsiCo's expertise in taste, nutrition and distribution to tackle child hunger.
