- The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) has been recognized as a leader in climate change reporting and disclosure by CDP, the international not-for-profit that works to transform the way the world does business to prevent climate change and protect our natural resources. Dow earned the highest possible disclosure score of 100 percent. Dow has been selected to the S&P 500 Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) in 2015, which recognizes only the top 10 percent of companies reporting for disclosure of high-quality carbon emissions and energy data.
“At Dow, we are committed to leading the transition to a sustainable energy future, and the 2015 CDP score is one more step along our journey,” said Seth Roberts, global energy director for Dow.

- The Dow Chemical Company and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) have released a new study focusing on how nature can help protect business assets from natural disasters. Based on research completed as part of the ongoing Dow-TNC collaboration, the study demonstrates that asset protection strategies can include green infrastructure — such as marshes, mangroves, coral and oyster reefs — along with more conventional infrastructure — such as dikes and levees — to protect business assets from hurricanes and flooding.

- On Friday, 43 CEOs from some of the world’s largest corporations signed an open letter urging attendants of the upcoming Paris Climate Summit (November 30th-December 11th) to deliver an ambitious climate change agreement, while pledging to reduce their own greenhouse gas emissions. Released almost simultaneously, a report commissioned by the G7 Foreign Ministers also recommended concrete actions that foreign ministers can take to increase the climate-resilience of weak states.
