Dell Doyle, PhD, is a Technical Service & Development (TS&D) Scientist at Dow — where his research focuses on oil and gas pipe, hydrocarbon permeation/absorption, chlorine resistance, and high-temperature polyethylene piping systems. He is a leader in the pipe industry, serving on the board of directors for both the Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI) and the South Texas section of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE). Dell is also chairman of PPI’s Energy Piping System Division and serves on several standards committees at ASTM International, American Petroleum Institute, Canadian Standards Association, National Sanitation Foundation, and PPI. Dell holds a PhD in organic chemistry from Rice University and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Midwestern State University.
