An unlikely partnership has enabled the Chicago Park District to produce enough much-needed hand sanitizer to keep its employees and park visitors safe during the pandemic.
The Chicago Park District wanted to make
sure there were enough sanitation supplies to protect the public and its
employees. Fortuitously, its use of biodiesel to power its fleet provided a key
ingredient for hand sanitizer.
